Sridhama Mayapur
Economic considerations

Although we have not yet carried out a comprehensive survey on all the economic implications of such a project arising in the Nadia district, common sense tells us that the project will uplift the economy a hundredfold. The Nadia district is considered an economically backward area badly in need of development. As it is not fit for industry and is mainly known for its spiritual roots, this project is perfectly compatible with the historical context of the area.

Since tens of thousands of people will be employed to construct the town and thousands will be required to support it, there is opportunity for increased employment. As the visiting population will average 100,000 visitors a day, all of whom will be fed, it is a great opportunity for local farmers for miles around to sell their produce at a good price.

As the town will attract so many people, the local shopkeepers and rickshaw and taxi drivers will automatically expand their market base. All facilities and support personnel will increase enormously.

The result will be hundreds of millions of dollars flowing into the economy of West Bengal.

The project will make West Bengal and the Mayapur area famous throughout the world. If they cooperate, the politicians of the area may also become internationally renowned, as the prestige of anyone associated with the project will automatically increase.
